The Camaros and Corvettes custom already display at Chevrolet’s booth at the 2010 SEMA Show. Chevrolet lugged a pair of gussied-up Silverados to the show in order to show off its revamped 2011 Silverado HD portfolio. There are Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD.
The Z71 package is designed to improve a truck’s off-road performance, the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Z71 show truck isn’t exactly the off-road plaything that Ford’s F-150 SVT Raptor is. Instead, Chevrolet suggests this concept “demonstrates the personalization possibilities of the new HD lineup.” To that extent, the truck wears a satin Switchblade Silver paint, along with massive Z71 body-side graphics inspired in part by those used on C/K pickups from the late 1980s.
Designers painted the chrome grille in a matching silver paint, while spraying both the 20-inch wheels and side running bars in Corvette Competition Gray.
While the interior of the truck is treated to a dark titanium leather interior, along with an accessory trim plate kit, dual DVD screens embedded into the front seat headrests, and an Autonet mobile wi-fi hotspot.
